Meeting Minutes: Monday, June 19, 2017

Location: Timothy Smith Room

Present: Jacqueline Beebe, Town Administrator; Michael Lorenco, Finance Director/Asst. Town Administrator; Fred Guidi, Finance Committee; Ryan Trahan, Environmental Partners Group; Neil Andres, DPW Superintendent (excused at 9:40am).  
Absent:  William O’Shea, Board of Selectmen Chair; John Knight, Board of Selectmen Clerk


The meeting was called to order by Jacqueline Beebe at 9:10 a.m.

Town Administrator Beebe introduced Michael Lorenco, new Finance Director/Assistant Town Administrator, to members of the committee.

Ryan Trahan of Environmental Partners Group reviewed the Phase I Budget Status Sheet for the benefit of Mr. Lorenco.  New spreadsheets were shared reflecting activity through the end of May 2017.  These included detailed Contracts Breakdown Sheets (contracts 1 through 8) including meter cost figures, and a Phase I Change Order Summary. Mr. Trahan indicated that 5 out of 8 contracts have been closed out. Of the mandatory connections, approximately 410 of 450 have been completed, essentially 90%.

Ms. Beebe applauded the local connection crews and the work by WhiteWater and EPG staff.  Few complaints have been reported locally, thanks to their accessibility and a dedicated cell phone.

Phase II:  
Bidding for contracts 9, 10 & 11 to commence during the months of July through August, providing a natural lull between construction phases.  Construction work is scheduled to resume towards the end of September and into the winter, providing good opportunities to local contractors.

The next CPC Water meeting is scheduled for Monday, July 17, 2017 at 9 a.m.
